JuJu Bee's A Very Merry Blog Hop

Welcome to JuJu Bee's A Very Merry Blog Hop & Crop!

This is your first stop.

We are celebrating our 2nd Anniversary and this Festive time of year and invite you to join us in a journey Buzzin' through the DT's blogs.

First off I would like to show you a few projects the DT Bee's have been working on just for this Blog Hop & Crop. They used all past kits, yep that's right, we are still playing with our past kits! That's because they are loaded with tons of Awesome products!!

Take a look at this Amazing LO that DT Coordinator and Sketch Artist Trisha created using one of her very own sketches! Isn't it just BEEutiful?!

Our DT Bee Jamie created this gorgeous card holder. It's such a wonderful idea...especially this time of year when we all know we have oodles of cards! Why not put them in something as pretty as this?

She even made the inside BEEutiful!

Wow, she made her own cards to go in this holder. Now that's one fantastic gift idea. I know I would love to recieve a pretty little card holder filled with these fabulous cards she crafted.

DT Bee Kristin comes at us with another awesome gift idea - custom frames! Isn't this just adorable?! This girl has a knack for altering!!

DT Bee Amy has created a little piggy bank out of a formula can that's just perfect for the children in your life! Not to mention recycling :)

She also created a necklace using scraps...but really who can even pay attention to that necklace when there is such a gorgeous little girl modeling it? ;)

Why not create those special people in your life a card? They are fast, easy, and so much give and recieve!

I hope you have gotten a few ideas for creating those last minute gifts! For more ideas, fun challenges, games, and prizes please join us in the FORUM for our Online Crop. There is so much going on and we are always looking for some more friendly faces to join us.

**On to the blog candy!**

Up for grabs is JuJu Bee's Sept Kit which features Glitz Design 'Olivia'. This is such a wonderful kit, so vibrant and full of life! All you have to do to be in the drawing to win is tell JuJu Bee's what makes your Holiday Season Very Merry? Do you and your family have special traditions that you celebrate? Seeing relatives that you rarely see? Just being with those that you love? Or maybe it's just the lights...the pretty pretty lights! We just want to know what makes this time of year Merry for you!

Thanks for stopping by today. Please head on over to DT Bee
Amy's blog for your chance at even more scrappy goodness and to check out what she's been up to! When you complete the Blog hop come back here to let me know what you thought about it!

Tutorial - Make your own Mist Sprays

Hello beautiful ladies! I have a really easy tutorial for you today. It all started about a month ago when I reached for my Glimmer Mist and realized I was almost out...Oh NO!! I went to my local SB store and they were sold out as well, and I had no patience to wait for some to be mailed to me. I had remembered hearing somewhere that you could create your own, this got me thinking...HOW?! So I researched it a bit and found so many different ways to do it. The problem was that I didn't have the inks they say to use, so I just did it my own way figuring it out as I went along. I would like to share with you a few tricks I have figured out.

The things you may need:

*Clean empty spray bottles
*paints/powders (I used some PearlX that I have had forever)/food coloring

Start off by getting your desired amount of powder into your bottle. I was using the end of a crab pick that I had bent to work for what I needed. Hey - I was using what I had around! lol I used two 'spoon' fulls of gold.

Then I added water. I was using a medicine dropper, this made things so much easier - for me!

This is what it looks like after I shook it up.

And this is what it looked like after sprayed onto white cardstock. Notice the pretty shimmer!! Now on these examples I sprayed the mist really heavy to show the colors.

Another thing I played around with was making paint sprays. Just add water to your bottle and I added 4-5 dropplets..ok more like paint gobbs straight from the bottle. On some of my mists I have used just paint and it looks pretty, but if you want it to shimmer then add your powder in a like color.

This is what the brown paint looks like. I didn't add the PearlX powder to this one just to show you how a paint spray looks.

Try adding food coloring to your mister! It looks awesome! The color of your mist will depend on how much food coloring you add to your water. I typically add about 6 drops. I like my colors to be bright! Again you can add the powders to this, but it looks great as is.

Here is that the blue food coloring spray looks like. I also didn't add any PearlX powder to this...all Food Coloring!

Here is a little sample of the colors I made today using these techniques. So fun and versatile and I can make ANY color I need to go with my LO's!! Now that's exciting!!

Here are a few recent LO's that I have created using my homemade mist sprays!
Just look at what these babies can do :)

I hope you will give them a try and show off your work using your very own Homemade Mists!! We can't wait to see them!

Some of the manufacturers that we deal with have also had delays and items on backorder. We are expected to be all caught up by weeks end though. We sincerely apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused.

JuJu Bee's 1st Annual Toys For Tots™ Toy Drive

Here at JuJu Bee's we love to give back to our community and those in need, whether it be Breast Cancer Awareness & Research, JDRF, donating food & clothing to our shelters among many others.

And this time of the year just brings out the best in us. Our family just loves Christmas, it is our FAVORITE time of the's the season of giving. Every year we let our children pick out 2 brand new toys to donate to Toys For Tots™ and you should see the smile on their faces as they drop it in the big bin, it makes them feel so proud that they are bringing joy to another child that may not have as much as them. So this year we have decided to ask our loyal customers and followers to help us in bringing that joy to another child with a donation of a NEW, UNWRAPPED toy. For every toy that you send our drop of to us we will in return share in the holiday season by giving you a $5 gift certificate to be used in the store, the more toys you send the more you get to spend in scrapping goodies. Our goal for our very first Annual Toys For Tots™ Drive will be 500 (more if possible) brand new toys that we will take to our local Toys For Tots™ bin on the 20th of December. Please help us in spreading the holiday cheer this year by donating.

You can mail or drop off your BRAND NEW, UNWRAPPED toy(s) at the following address:

Star Mini Album Tutorial

Hello! Jamie with you here today and I am going to show you how to make a Star Mini Album. These mini albums are the best...I make one every year to showcase my daughter's Christmas pictures:-) They are also great for a quick and easy stocking stuffer for a family member!

Ok here is what you do:

Step 1: Cut seven 4 x 12 pieces of cardstock (mine is red)
Step 2: From these strips, cut at 5.5 inches. You will now have seven pieces of 5.5 and seven pieces of 6.5 inch pieces.
Step 3: Cut four 4x12 strips of cardstock (mine is white). Then cut these in half at 6 inches.
Step 4: You will now have all of your pieces to make this album.
Step 5: Fold all of the pieces in half.
Step 6: Put adhesive on the biggest piece and the medium piece on the outside edge only.
Step 7: Adhere them together - edges only - with the smallest piece on the inside.
Step 8: Continue to do this with all of your pieces.
Step 9: Time for finishing touches! Adhere some patterned paper over a piece of chipboard (I used a cut up cereal box). Adhere a piece of ribbon to the front and back of your book and then place your covers over top.
Step 10: Your star book is complete! Add embellishments as desired!

I hope you make one and upload it to the gallery:-)

Seasonal Cartridges

Hello All. I wanted to let all my customers that ordered the 3 Limited Edition Seasonal Cartridges know that we haven't forgotten about you. Provo Craft oversold on these cartridges and were unable to send out all the cartridges to their retailers, unfortunately us being one of them, we didn't receive the Snow Friends cartridges but should have them in this week. We have tried emailing everyone that placed an order and we apologize if you haven't received one yet, we unfortunately got hit with that nasty flu bug and have been under the weather Smileys for the past 2 weeks and are trying to get back on our feet. It's hard when there are only 2 of you running the business and you both get sick at the same time.Smileys But we are trying to do our best. You can ALWAYS email us at if you have any questions or concerns and we will do our best to get back to you right away.

We hope everyone is enjoying their day and wishes everyone a happy scrappy week!
