JuJu Bee's A Very Merry Blog Hop

Welcome to JuJu Bee's A Very Merry Blog Hop & Crop!

This is your first stop.

We are celebrating our 2nd Anniversary and this Festive time of year and invite you to join us in a journey Buzzin' through the DT's blogs.

First off I would like to show you a few projects the DT Bee's have been working on just for this Blog Hop & Crop. They used all past kits, yep that's right, we are still playing with our past kits! That's because they are loaded with tons of Awesome products!!

Take a look at this Amazing LO that DT Coordinator and Sketch Artist Trisha created using one of her very own sketches! Isn't it just BEEutiful?!

Our DT Bee Jamie created this gorgeous card holder. It's such a wonderful idea...especially this time of year when we all know we have oodles of cards! Why not put them in something as pretty as this?

She even made the inside BEEutiful!

Wow, she made her own cards to go in this holder. Now that's one fantastic gift idea. I know I would love to recieve a pretty little card holder filled with these fabulous cards she crafted.

DT Bee Kristin comes at us with another awesome gift idea - custom frames! Isn't this just adorable?! This girl has a knack for altering!!

DT Bee Amy has created a little piggy bank out of a formula can that's just perfect for the children in your life! Not to mention recycling :)

She also created a necklace using scraps...but really who can even pay attention to that necklace when there is such a gorgeous little girl modeling it? ;)

Why not create those special people in your life a card? They are fast, easy, and so much fun...to give and recieve!

I hope you have gotten a few ideas for creating those last minute gifts! For more ideas, fun challenges, games, and prizes please join us in the FORUM for our Online Crop. There is so much going on and we are always looking for some more friendly faces to join us.

**On to the blog candy!**

Up for grabs is JuJu Bee's Sept Kit which features Glitz Design 'Olivia'. This is such a wonderful kit, so vibrant and full of life! All you have to do to be in the drawing to win is tell JuJu Bee's what makes your Holiday Season Very Merry? Do you and your family have special traditions that you celebrate? Seeing relatives that you rarely see? Just being with those that you love? Or maybe it's just the lights...the pretty pretty lights! We just want to know what makes this time of year Merry for you!

Thanks for stopping by today. Please head on over to DT Bee
Amy's blog for your chance at even more scrappy goodness and to check out what she's been up to! When you complete the Blog hop come back here to let me know what you thought about it!

Tutorial - Make your own Mist Sprays

Hello beautiful ladies! I have a really easy tutorial for you today. It all started about a month ago when I reached for my Glimmer Mist and realized I was almost out...Oh NO!! I went to my local SB store and they were sold out as well, and I had no patience to wait for some to be mailed to me. I had remembered hearing somewhere that you could create your own, this got me thinking...HOW?! So I researched it a bit and found so many different ways to do it. The problem was that I didn't have the inks they say to use, so I just did it my own way figuring it out as I went along. I would like to share with you a few tricks I have figured out.

The things you may need:

*Clean empty spray bottles
*paints/powders (I used some PearlX that I have had forever)/food coloring
*water

Start off by getting your desired amount of powder into your bottle. I was using the end of a crab pick that I had bent to work for what I needed. Hey - I was using what I had around! lol I used two 'spoon' fulls of gold.

Then I added water. I was using a medicine dropper, this made things so much easier - for me!

This is what it looks like after I shook it up.

And this is what it looked like after sprayed onto white cardstock. Notice the pretty shimmer!! Now on these examples I sprayed the mist really heavy to show the colors.

Another thing I played around with was making paint sprays. Just add water to your bottle and I added 4-5 dropplets..ok more like paint gobbs straight from the bottle. On some of my mists I have used just paint and it looks pretty, but if you want it to shimmer then add your powder in a like color.

This is what the brown paint looks like. I didn't add the PearlX powder to this one just to show you how a paint spray looks.

Try adding food coloring to your mister! It looks awesome! The color of your mist will depend on how much food coloring you add to your water. I typically add about 6 drops. I like my colors to be bright! Again you can add the powders to this, but it looks great as is.

Here is that the blue food coloring spray looks like. I also didn't add any PearlX powder to this...all Food Coloring!

Here is a little sample of the colors I made today using these techniques. So fun and versatile and I can make ANY color I need to go with my LO's!! Now that's exciting!!

Here are a few recent LO's that I have created using my homemade mist sprays!
Just look at what these babies can do :)

I hope you will give them a try and show off your work using your very own Homemade Mists!! We can't wait to see them!

It's that time of year!

This is our busy season right now and it is taking us a bit longer than expected to get orders out as we have had nearly 3000 since the week of Thanksgiving and more coming in each day, and there is only 2 of us answering emails and packaging up. Some of the manufacturers that we deal with have also had delays and items on backorder. We are expected to be all caught up by weeks end though. We sincerely apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at customerservice@jujubeesscrapbookcorner.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Holiday Season!
